About Founder and Director
Cedar Barstow
| Cedar is a consultant and teacher on ethics
issues. She has been designing, developing, and teaching this
approach since 1994. Her background includes 20 years as a psychotherapist
and 15 years as a teacher. She is the author of books and articles
on ethics, counseling with elders, women and independence, and
psychotherapy and spirituality. |

Trainer, a member of the Naropa University Adjunct Faculty and
maintains a private psychotherapy and ethics consulting practice
in Boulder/Denver, and teaches both Right Use of Power Ethics

1. Is this a print-based home study course or an on-line
continuing education course?
This course is a hybrid course in which you use a
real book for the reading and you use the website or postal mail
for accessing and submitting assignments for credit.
2. What if this on-line process is simply beyond my
technical skill level?
Don't worry. You have the option of doing this course completely
off-line, which simply involves contacting Cedar and requesting
the paper version of the course.

3. I haven’t seen an on-line course like this.
Briefly, how is it organized?
Simple:
1. Purchase the resource book. (Go to Resource

2. After you receive your book, choose
your mini-course(s)
3. Complete your assignments as outlined on the site.
4. Submit your assignment(s)
and payment for course(s). (For payment options, go to Resources

5. Your CEU documentation will be emailed to you upon completion
and payment.
4. How many credit hours are available through this
course?
You can earn up to 36 CEU hours. There are 25 mini-courses in
the Right Use Of Power resource book that range from 1-3 credit
hours per course.
5. Is there a time limit for using this continuing
education material?
No. There is no time limit. You can do 2 or 3 mini-courses now
and do more mini-courses next year or in years to come. The Right
Use Of Power resource book contains 25 mini-courses in all. Book
updates can be accessed on the website.
6. What does each assignment include?
Each mini-course assignment includes reading from the resource
book, a self-awareness exercise, and 3 written questions to answer.
7. What is Pay Pal and how do I use it?
Pay Pal is a protected on-line service that allows you to use
your credit card to purchase books, courses, and/or workshops. It
is simple, easy, and well explained. Go to the Resources section
of the site to make such purchases.
8. If I have a “voucher number”, when do
I need to use it?
You can use it at any time. You will be asked for it when you submit
